For Halloween, Floors are Dressing up as Hardwood

Laminate, luxury vinyl, even tile are all dressing up as hardwood flooring for Trick or Treat this Halloween as wood looks continue to dominate.

These costumed imposters do a good job of mimicking the look of hardwood and that may account for all the candy and goodies they’ve managed to score.

But there is one exception: carpet. With its focus on pet protection, we do have to report some unfortunate Halloween costume choices in this category (I’ll leave that to your imagination).

Thank goodness, most carpet has embraced the sexy costume trend by sporting revealing patterns, colors and style while still maintaining its family friendly image.

Of course, some of the older kids – like concrete – are trying to make do with few, if any, costumes. But like Charlie Brown, they are finding their goody bags filled only with rocks (which seems fitting).

On the more ghoulish side are some dirty, old floors in desperate need of replacement that are walking around like zombies, monsters and ghosts. Now that’s really scary!

Not to be outdone, hardwood is going au naturel this year with stripped down looks and longer boards.
